Series FSD Screw Doser



The FSD Screw Dosers have been developed to use with extruders and injection molding machines. They are equipped with a stepping motor having an incremental accuracy of 1/100 of a revolution. The microprocessor control includes a digital readout and setting for the metering screw.
The molding machine sends a signal to the Screw Doser on the start of screw recovery. The Screw Doser then accurately meters the color or additive directly into the feed throat during this time. The number of revolutions and the revolutions per minute are set to match the screw recovery time. The screw speed range can be set from 1~999 RPM.
The FSD Screw Doser consists of three main parts: transition neckpiece, screw metering housing with stainless steel material hopper, and control. The top and bottom flanges of the transition piece are not drilled, allowing you to match the bolt hole pattern to the feed throat of the molding or extrusion machines. The unit should be installed at 90 degree angle to the direction of the heat cylinder to prevent damage from heat emissions.
